Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been an actor, model and animal rights advocate in the US. Her name is well-known for movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). She was drawn to becoming an artist was in part influenced by her family background in a New York family of artists. In the beginning she was employed as an photographer's assistant. Later on, her career shifted towards modeling and directing. Her first two movies she received recognition and was awarded her the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw's movie Love Story was an international success, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office actress in the world in just three films. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were made in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Some of the films she's been in are The Getaway Convoy Players as well as the TV miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was published. MacGraw was divorced three times.
