Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles included two episodes in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in The ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mom. She did not pursue acting as a career after reaching adulthood, as her parents were worried about the detrimental consequences stress can have. Perry she was timid to perform in the school, began performing in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry went on to New York, where she landed small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness led Perry home to California, where theater jobs were available. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 She performed with the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. Her father played her character in the ABC Drama Scandal. In the same year, she appeared as a younger character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother as a young version. She was cast in the role despite having a close family connection to the character.
