Zoe-perry

Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut in the television screen as Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in the ABC show Roseanne. In fear of stress, her parents did not want to see performing before turning 18. Perry stated that she was nervous to be an actor at the age of 16, but she began doing shows at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring from Boston University. Perry managed to get minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. Homesickness, however, caused her to move to California to return, where she started performing in the stage. She and her mother starred on Broadway together for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she was a part of her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of The Family, an ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on The ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. The actress also portrayed her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. Despite having a family connection to the character she received the role via an audition.
