Ina Gardner is author of a number of famous American cookery books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. It began in 2002. Ina started her career at the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy as well as the budget. While she initially found the work fascinating and intellectually stimulating however, she began to get bored with it. Barefoot Contessa was then bought. After nearly 18 years of making the business a massive success, she sold it, and then began writing her first book. In the following years, numerous cookbooks were published and she also contributed to magazine articles. Meanwhile she also had her own Food Network show was also a success. Additionally, she offers everything from equipment to cooking supplies and containers. Ina she has not attended any cookery school or worked in a restaurant and she is completely self-taught. Her relaxed approach to entertaining and her easy cooking style are well known.
